With the tenant update here, I thought it was time to go through and completely redo the mod. Welcome to Your Starbound Crew, a mod that introduces six new tenants designed for your ship.
The mod begins as soon as you hit the outpost, and get a quest from one of the NPC humans there. He'll tell you about a distress signal he got leading to your first crew member.First mate Taylor HartYour first mate will be the one to let you know about where the other crew members are located. Her primary goal is to help you explore the universe, and her tenant pool is centered around you upgrading your ship and your matter manipulator.
She also has an upgradable back item called a KEI, that can eventually offer you benefits such as increased run speed, or lots of attack, and even no fall damage.Mr. Sora is your Hylotl colonist specialist, and you find him in his colony experiment in an asteroid field. He'll offer you tenant deeds, sub biome building materials, and even recipes for furniture as his tenant rewards, and will even send you on a mission to recruit four Novakids to help build temporary bases on whatever tier you're on.IronslipThis Glitch is a master farmer and cook, and will help make your farming life easier, along with offering unique recipes.Kananna BonebaneKananna is your combat specialist, and offers some healing items, stims, and throwing weapons as his tenant gifts. He also offers his old family sword, which you can help upgrade into an amazing blade.Dr. Geny PetraftYou'll find the Doctor messing with time travel in his jungle base.
He offers tech chips, techs, and teleporter cores as his loot table, and sells an antidote to help you explore toxic planets.Moonfinder ManecaManeca loves studying everything about the universe, especially ancient ruins. His loot pool includes lore from every race in the game, and also offers you the ability to restore an old matter manipulator into a glorious digging machine. As you can see, some stuff has changed, some stuff is gone, but a lot of it is for the better. As of now I'm choosing to just rewrite most of the quests, so that will probably hit for the second stable update. I'll also be adding a mid game mission for each crew member, and a late game mission for each crew member, so you can upgrade them. Anyways, sorry it's been so long since the mod has been updated, I hope you all enjoy!INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING:If you're upgrading from the old Your Starbound Crew, or wish to uninstall it, there's only one thing that can mess up your character: take off all techs added by the mod. If you don't, it can corrupt your character.ISSUES WITH GETTING CREW MEMBERS TO SPAWN:1. Every mission has an object, usually either given by the crew member or in a chest very close to where the end point is.Human = Crew MapFloran = Floran consoleHylotl = Hylotl consoleAvian = weird ancient thing I will be changingApex = cool computerGlitch = farming tools.Penguin = gold crate (but where is the mission?!)2.
Every quest for a mission will end up giving you a colony deed which you will also need.3. FIgure out or section out a room on your ship to use, as every tenant in the game requires a light and a door.4. Combine the crew object, door, and light into one room. And once that is set up, then you put the colony deed up (the colony deed needs to be last I believe)5. Now you have a crew!Hopefully you enjoy my first attempt at modding a game, it's been a game itself trying to sort through all of these files and LUA scripts.
HUGE thanks to severedskullz for helping me figure things out, and for helping out other modders, and the same goes to xxswatelitesxx. Thanks to aMannus for helping me update the mod page. Please send any feed back, especially any bugs, issues, or any thoughts you have on balancing the mod.

How does one build or assemble a mech? Well, sit down and grab a pen and paper to make notes on your blueprints. Here’s a guide to help you get started. Getting Started: Your First Steps to Building Mechs in StarboundMaybe he'll like building space mechs too? Before you get overzealous building mechs like Benny from Lego Movie, you can’t build a mech right off the bat. First, you need to meet with penguin scientist, Dr. Akaggy, who will give you a quest. He is located at the outpost in the mech station.
If you don’t complete his quest, you will be denied access to Starbound 1.3's Mech Assembly Station.I know most gamers don’t enjoy mandatory quests, but don’t be discouraged. His quest puts you behind the wheel of a mech, where you must complete a fun test course. Akaggy teaches players how to move around, raise a shield, and more – all the skills you need to be a mech pro. Upon completion, you get your own mech as a reward for your patience and flight training. Time to Fly High - Controlling Your Starbound MechJust believe you can!During your flight training with Dr.
Akaggy, you’ll learn how to use a mech. Let’s go through it in a step-like fashion:. Deploy your mech while on your ship using the Deploy Mech button, which is located on the right side of the screen. It only appears if your ship is parked during a space encounter, in an asteroid field, or while orbiting a potential planet to visit.
Upon deployment, you’ll be sent to a planet or area in a capsule-like pod, which breaks open upon arrival. With gravity: Your mech’s movement is similar to player controls. Hitting left means you go left, right goes right, etc. Without gravity: Your mech’s movement is completely different. When moving, the mech accelerates in the direction you choose while using jump will make it stop. Arms are activated using your mouse. Left click activates your left arm, and right click activates your right arm.
Other actions: F toots your mech’s horn and the Interact command makes you exit and enter the mech. Some Assembly Required - Building Your First MechOnce you make your way back to Dr. Akaggy following the mech training mission, he’ll allow you access to the Assembly Station where you’ll unlock several starter mech components that can be crafted with salvaged materials. Just make sure you have the right materials before crafting some of the basic components.Mainly, these early mech components require a lot of titanium. Future mech parts and mech blueprints will require different resources. That mech looks really stylish. There are several components you can customize for your mech: body, left arm, right arm, booster, legs, and horn.
Each component has varying defense stats and shows how much energy it has and its usage (except for the horn). There are also special crafting recipes you can unlock later on through various means, like finding a blueprint or speaking to a particular NPC. But if you talk to Dr. Akaggy again, he’ll give you more quests that will unlock more blueprints.
Arma 3 compass mod. Aimbots work in ARMA 3 as well, however have to be use unbelievably carefully. If you are not using the highest quality product, your aiming movements will be unnatural since your crosshair jumps and people will be able to identify you as a hacker simply by watching you for a second in a firefight. What I’m trying to say here is that using hacks in this game is a lot more difficult than in other games, since the other players are far more savvy. The standard variety of hacks that we know from other FPS is also available here: ESP or “Wallhacks” can highlight enemy positions to you, allowing you to see them from far away and through terrain and walls, thy can show your compass degrees without having to actually open the compass, highlight enemies on the map and a lot more. None the less it is still possible to use hacks in the latest installation of ARMA.
Starting Mech ComponentsHere's a list of the most basic starting assembly components in Starbound 1.3 and what you'll need to craft them:. Basic Mech Legs. Requires 10 Titanium Bars.
Basic legs for basic mobility. Automatically learned after first acquiring a mech. Drill Mech Arm. Requires 20 Titanium Bars.
Automatically placed into the Right Arm slot after completing the Test Drive quest. Serves as a basic mining drill. Mech Bodies. There are different basic bodies that vary depending on a player’s race. The body to the right is available to Apex players. All mech bodies require 40 Titanium Bars. Automatically learned after first acquiring a mech.
Basic Mech Boosters. Requires 15 Titanium Bars. Automatically learned after the Dr. Akaggy Test Drive questThings to Keep in Mind After Assembling a MechMechs have their own energy reserves, which are shown as a blue bar above the vehicle.
Using the mech depletes that energy reserve, but so does receiving damage and attempting to pilot a mech on a planet without a body resistant to that particular planet’s hazards; these will deplete energy at a more alarming rate. While weapon usage does not deplete energy due to it being accounted for by a mech’s arms, you need to be careful that your energy bar doesn’t reach 0.Otherwise, you’ll be ejected from your mech where one of two things can happen. If the mech was brought to 0 energy through damage, the mech explodes. If not, the mech vanishes without an explosion. But either way, being trapped in space is not a good time for someone who needs oxygen.Unless you’re a robot space core, don’t get strandedin the vacuum that is spaaacceee! Mixing and Matching Mech Types in StarboundFortunately for space explorers, mechs provide a safe escape and an armored shell to help you in airless environments.
Kotor 2 walkthrough. At the Academy Entrance, I learn from the guard that you can only enter the academy after admitted by Yuthura, who is in the Cantina.I meet hungry hopefuls who are starved by the order of Mekel, the Sith student. I tell one of them to attack the guard (DS points.) & leave the rest to their fate.In the Cantina, I meet Yuthura Ban, second to Master Uthar. I persuade her that I'm willing to become the Sith and she decides to take me to the Academy.
Plus, different mech bodies give different resistances like:. Violium-tier Mech Bodies. Resist Deadly Radiation. Dursteel-tier Mech Bodies.
Resist Deadly Chill. Solarium-tier Mech Bodies.
Resist Deadly HeatIf you don’t have these bodies while navigating those types of planets, your mech’s energy will drain at a higher rate. Get Building!Congratulations!
You have completed the Mechs 101 Curriculum. I hope you were taking notes for your final exam!Just kidding. Instead, let us know how your first flight and building experience went with your first mech in the comments below! And be sure to check out our other for even more tips.
How To Get Crew Members Starbound 3
When do I get to upgrade my ship? And how?, without using the /spawnitem shipT# command?Replace the '#' with a Tier number (1 to 10?). Or using the /upgradeship command. So, now that Starbound has been released into 1.0, I've noticed that several of the mechanics and methods to do things have been overhauled.
For one, spamming daggers have now been balanced. But that's besides the point.I've noticed there has been changes to the way ship size progression is done, and that there are multiple ways to progress your ship size. What are those changes, and how can I upgrade my ship?(Now that simply doing all outpost quests does absolutely nothing as they are made optional quests now.). To upgrade your ship, you'll need. The amount you need is 2, 4, 6, 8, then 10 respectively for each upgrade. These can be found in chests, reward bags, and rarely as monster drops. You must then obtain a ship license.
This can either be done by getting (2, 4, 6, 8, 10) for completing quests for settlers and hiring penguin mercenaries (after defeating Dreadwing), or alternatively by buying the license from The Penguin Bay at the outpost for increasing (, ) amounts of pixels:Once you have the upgrade modules and the license (fake or real), you'll need to visit Penguin Pete at the outpost, who will carry out the upgrade.
Venturing onto an unexplored foreign planet is a bit like emigrating, but instead of immediately setting up a bank account, renting a flat, and/or hiring a car your primary is concern is, well, staying alive. In interstellar sandbox adventure there are plenty of moon-bound monsters out to get you from the off – be that of the biome, procedurally-generated or unique variety – so it’s absolutely essential your house/ship/pithy gathering of dirt and mud is in order quick snap.Luckily, Starbound packs quite the selection of mods to help that along. The following should give you an extra leg-up before the extra-terrestrials get you. AndBy Tatsu and Tripod respectivelyInventory Interface Redone is a handy mod to install early on which reconfigures how your inventory interface is displayed. As can be seen in the header image above, by rotating the items pane and running it vertically on one side allows enough space for text identifiers to fit alongside the five main criteria. With that slight adjustment, everything else suddenly feels like it’s in the right place, and what at first may seem like a pretty insignificant tweak makes juggling your inventory so much easier over time.Once the critters come calling, you’ll want your finest weapons at hand too. Weapons Stats displays item level, the damage per second (DPS) and the damage per energy (DPE) for swords and guns.
This is based on raw damage only – therefore abilities and combo attacks aren’t factored in – however this is a neat quality of life mod that should help you organise your offensive. AndBy By Lunchghost and v6 respectivelyThe Monica Geller-level of clerical organisation continues with both Container UI Tweak and Improved Containers.First the former, which is another superficial display tweak that separates your inventory and containers windows with a much wider margin offered by the game’s v1.1. “This mod changes four pixels (as standard in v1.1) to 160 pixels, which means you must manually move the inventory window to the left once,” reads the creator’s blurb. It’s worth noting that, unfortunately, the Container UI tweak isn’t compatible with the aforementioned Inventory Interface mod. While I personally prefer the one listed above, I like this one enough to recommend it here on the off-chance you lean this way instead.Improved Containers simply allows containers to be renamed, sorted and quick stacked which should boost your organisational needs to no end., andBy Kave Johnson, Neo and zecra respectivelyRight, now all of that boring secretarial stuff is out of the way let’s get onto the fun stuff. Like gardening. Hey, you guys and gals gotta eat.
And if you wanna survive look, we spoke about this already. Anyway, Compact Crops halves the required space for large horizontal-lying crops that in essence makes for more crops on less land.Following this, Craftable Seeds allows you to create all seeds and certain saplings – not to mention new Mushroom Seeds and Thorny Plant Seeds; and new saplings from Alienfruit, Mushrooms, Coconuts, Red Apples, and Plant Fibre – directly from crops and fruits.
But keep in mind you’re paying very little for both keyboard and mouse. But this $20 keyboard and mouse combination is awesome.See pictures for more.ProsSuper easy to setup. One usb adaptor for both keyboard and mouse.3 batteries in included with product.Elegant look.Protruding keys.ConsMaterial is good but can be better. Teclado e mouse wireless da dell km636. I work in IT industry for over ten years so I’ve used many keyboards mouse. I’ve used expensive mechanical keyboards, overpriced apple magic keyboard and other.
Simply open the new ‘Seed Maker’, craftable via your Inventor’s Table, and create away to your heart’s content. Then of course you have Efficient Watering. There’s perhaps not another Starbound mod out there that is so simple yet so satisfying.
It lets you water your crops without those pesky cool-down times. It decreases the overall time it takes to water crops. And, crucially, it lets you water while walking. AndBy Mickyan and v6 respectivelyOkay, so it’s finally time to seek some help out in the celestial wilderness, but everyone you’ve happened upon so far is completely handless. Enter Earth’s Finest, a mod that improves the crew system by greatly increasing the strength and services of your entourage. With balance in mind, each class gets treated to their own unique stats making crew choice top priority.Outlaws, for example, receive reduced health and regeneration capabilities, however can deal greater damage, have increased invulnerability time after being struck, and can run faster than before.
Likewise, Soldiers are afforded higher damage rates, and increased health. “Additionally, your tailor will now consider your head slot items for your crew’s uniform,” says the mod’s creator, which is a nice touch. With Instant Crafting, you can put your newly-formed motley crew to work. Much similar to how crafting functioned in Starbound’s earliest days, Instant Crafting disables the more recently introduced timer on crafting tables so that everything you turn your hand to is created instantaneously., andBy Lukky, lophatkao and ZimaZang respectivelyNow, onto the real fun stuff.Once you’ve settled on your once foreign planet, how are do you plan to further explore? You could use the hoverbikes Starbound offers as standard. But you’re BETTER using Lukky’s Explorerpod mod which adds a host of two-seater Explorerpod vehicles that can be claimed via Penguin Pete’s Vehicle Lot in exchange for a healthy sum of pixels. Oh, and not only can these hovercrafts skoot from surface-to-air-to-space – they can also dive deep as fully-submersible ships. But then again, is this the best way to get around?
I mean, what if you get attacked while flying around in the pod? Wouldn’t it be nice to ensure your safety too? Of course it would, which is where both XS Mechs and ZZ Mech Mods come in. The former adds a suite of ultra-cool mechs which boast lasers and turrets and cannons and skull heads and rail guns and whole range of other artillery and neat designs.
ZZ Mech Mods then asks: “Love using XS Mechs? Ever wish your mech could stand out from the stock mechs? Then look no further,” before adding even more mechs to the mix.To gain access to this, you’ll first need to have completed Floran boss mission, before visiting Penguin Pete who’ll offer a new quest.
Ultimately, he points you in the direction of an illegal mech dealer – who deals in special weapons, mech, and a mech recolouring scheme. Be warned, though, the dealer ain’t cheap., andBy SayterSimilar to, Sayter’s Starbound Steam Workshop page is worth visiting in its entirety. Frackin’ Universe is essentially a total conversion that adds new biomes, expands the crafting system, adds science, micro-dungeons, custom crew members, armours, weapons, new monsters, tiles and loads of other incremental and superficial adjustments to the base game. Separate mods Starbooze and Bees are also slotted in there which add, funnily enough, alcohol and bees to the sandbox.Frackin’ Races and Frackin’ Races Foods are good complimentary mods to the above (although can be used on their own) which introduce more idiosyncratic options and ability alterations to race and foods. It’s worth noting that given these mods alter so much of the original game, they’re probably best suited to those who’ve spent a long time playing, or are perhaps fed up with playing, the vanilla game.Sayter has attached the following disclaimer to the Universe mod’s page:“Installing FU is a one-way trip. FU will affect your game universe.and.ALL. characters.
If you uninstall the mod, your game will inevitably crash, unless you wipe your universe and player folders. THIS CANNOT BE AVOIDED, so please do not request that we ‘fix’ this. It is not avoidable. If you are not sure you want to keep this mod, be sure to back up your universe and player folders before installing.”, andBy Magnus, Cookie the Ice-Cream Kookaburra and SwolarPug respectivelyOf course a list of best Starbound mods wouldn’t be complete without mention of crossovers.
There are plenty of them out there (I’ve inevitably missed your personal favourites – sorry!), however these ones are probably the most fun and/or sophisticated of the lot. Erring towards the former, I just can’t get over how cute Smough of Ornstein and Smough of Dark Souls is shrunk, pixelated and forced into Starbound. If Overwatch is your thing (it’s not mine), then the Overwatch mod looks pretty nifty.
In the style of Blizzard’s team-based multiplayer FPS, you can craft weapons, items and costumes, and make use of other miscellaneous items such as the Roadhog Gas Cannister and Legendary Panel. The stand out crossover for me, though, is Cookie the Ice-Cream Kookaburra’s Castlevania which borrows loads of items, objects and backdrops from the renowned Akumajō Dracula series. There’s genuinely hours of fun to be had in this mod alone.By Peasly WellbottUm yeah, this one is pretty terrifying. Creator Peasly Wellbott describes Mecharachnid as “the pinnacle of ill-advised Penguin research” with which you can “gain a vehicle of uncompromising might.” Only problem is, it’s tooled up with a rather uncompromising AI that’s not for the faint of heart. “Speak with the Barkeep after dealing with Dreadwing, and come equipped for a hard fight.”Look at that thing.
